CDI ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS AN IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION TO BE LOCATED AT OUR CLIENT SITE IN ANCHORAGE, ALASKA.

Cost Engineer Opening:

Plans and Procedures
• Develop the Project Services and Controls strategy, plans and procedures for cost control, reflecting both BP and Contractor roles and responsibilities
• Adheres to the segment financial, business and project processes
Cost
• Ensure the development of the appropriate budgets, implement, and monitor costs within a project stage and for the entire project until closeout / completion.
• Ensure proper documentation is provided for each request for funding (AFE)
• Ensure backup is provided from vendors for monthly WIP reports and provide guidance to Project Leads for proper LE forecasting.
Estimates
• Ensure the development of estimates and studies within a project stage in coordination with both internal and external Cost Estimators.
• Coordinate preparation of Cost Risk Analysis

Risk Management
• Develop and implement Risk management procedures for project costs, and budgets
• Coordinate the development of Risk mitigation plans as they relate to cost engineering
• Link Risk, schedule and Change control processes to Cost Reports

Experience & Knowledge
• BSc or higher degree with a minimum of 8 years applicable experience, emphasis on Finance
• Previous work on client projects - Essential
• Familiarity with client specific Cost Engineering processes and procedures
• Minimum 10 years experience in Oil and Gas industry
• Major Projects planning and execution, experience with CVP (MPCP), brown-field projects experience, well and facilities operations experience
• High regard for HSSE principals
• Experience in a Research and Development project
• Knowledge of and experience relating to Heavy Oil surface facilities
• Able to communicate effectively with Project team members to ensure depletion, surface facilities and technology business objectives are met in a dynamic setting with evolving understanding of the resource
• Ability to work well with third parties, especially contractors and partners with various disciplines
• Experience with contract strategies and contract development
