Description:
The Craftsperson assists and performs routine repairs and maintenance to
facility buildings, equipment and grounds. The incumbent uses simple, basic hand
and power tools as directed.
• Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions
on new assignments
• Follows group standards and procedures
• Participates in testing, process improvement projects
• Adheres to policies and procedures


Role expectations
• Perform facilities related activities at offices, manufacturing environment
and laboratories.
• Responsible for cleaning and lubricating machinery, performing basic
diagnostic tests, checking performance, and assist testing damaged machine parts
to determine whether major repairs are necessary.
• Responsibilities include preventive maintenance and the installation of new
equipments.
• Performs or coordinates maintaining the working areas in a clean and orderly
condition.
• Oversees and cleans furniture, walls, glass, fixtures and equipment; sweeps,
scrubs, mops, waxes and buffs floors; maintains stock of janitorial supplies;
cleans chips, coolant, grease and oil around machinery and equipment;
• Understands and practices safe working practices including proper application
of chemicals. The incumbent may be responsible for the transport of hazardous
waste from work areas to designated hazardous waste storage areas.
• Contributes to customer satisfaction.



Candidate Requirements:
• Experience on facilities maintenance at manufacturing environment preferred
• Able to work both indoors or outdoors as required
• Able to stand, bend and/ or kneel as per job requirement
• Able to work using lifts or climbing ladders
• Able to lift, carry, push, pull 50 lbs.
• Knowledge on HVAC and/or basic electricity preferred.
