CT Technologist - Must be ARRT certified!
Liberty Pacific Medical Imaging is a Radiology Diagnostic Center located in Signal Hill, CA, we are currently seeking an experienced CT Technologist excited to work in a fast paced, state of the art, customer service oriented outpatient imaging center to perform computer tomography (CT) and related procedures to demonstrate sectional anatomic images for interpretation and to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. Currently seeking full-time, part-time, and per diem positions. MRI trained a plus!
Equipment:
· Siemens Somatom 64 Slice
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Prepares and positions patient for computer tomography (CT) imaging procedures
· Screen patient before exam for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the exam (i.e., allergies to contrast media, diabetic on Glucophage, etc.)
· Explain procedures to alleviate patient anxiety and facilitate patient cooperation
· Process exam in RIS
· Operate and maintain the CT scanning equipment in good operating order
· Prepare examination for interpretation and images for reading by radiologist
· Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff
· Completes forms and maintains records such as logs, and reports of work performed
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to be flexible and work on multiple projects. The candidate must effectively organize and manage their time accordingly.
· High school diploma or equivalent (AA/AS or BA/BS preferred)
· Minimum 2-5 year experience in computer tomography (CT)
· Must be ARRT or CRT certified
· CT Certification a plus
· Must be Venipuncture Certified and able to independently start IV’s.
· CPR/first aid certified
· Knowledge of human anatomy
· MRI trained a plus
