Performs routine and specialized activities related to the operation of the Cytogenetics laboratory including microscope analysis, tissue culture, cell harvesting, karyotyping on a variety of tissue specimens (bone marrow, blood, tumor tissues). Validate run and analyze interphase Fluorescence in-situ Hybridization (FISH) studies, summarize the tests results utilizing ISCN nomenclature, maintains clinical and internal documentation files; experience in Applied Imaging Cytovision Systems, FISH and oncology protocols. Bachelor of Science Degree in Cytogenetics (NCA) preferred. 2-3 years of experience in FISH and/or cytogenetics.
