Title: Clerk – Call Center
Reports to: Supervisor/Manager


 
Function: Provides quality information and exceptional member service contact and support by telephone. Advise and resolve telephone and e-mail inquiries regarding account information. Transfer calls to appropriate department/employee while processing transactions, member correspondence and requests via mail and telephone. Inform and cross-sell products. Handles all transactions with discretion and confidentiality.


Duties:



  • Functions as a full-service, member service clerk providing deposit, transfer and disbursement services;
  • Transactions and information on Certificates of Deposits as requested;
  • Complete payroll distribution change requests, following procedure guidelines;
  • Verify and update member address information as needed;
  • Inform and cross-sell Credit Union products and services while explaining features and benefits, when appropriate;
  • Assist with stop payment requests following procedure;
  • Provide share and loan rates, account balances, check clearings, deposits, auto value information and accept member’s check reorder requests;
  • Assist members with statement inquiries, errors and resolutions referring to proper department;
  • Attends training sessions upon request;
  • Cross-trains and performs other positions within the branch/department and responsibilities as requested;
  • Responsible for the administration of anti-money laundering duties and the Bank Secrecy laws;

The above is a description of the ordinary duties of the position. Other duties both related and unrelated to the above may be assigned and therefore required.


 
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years in banking and/or credit union, preferably in member-support/lending roles. The ability to communicate product information with strong interpersonal and problem solving skills is required.
