We are seeking candidates for the position of Campus Relations Recruiter in our Silver Spring MD office.


 


Position Summary:
The Campus Relations Recruiter will manage and drive the year round internship recruiting process for the Silver Spring corporate headquarters of Discovery Communications. The Campus Relations Recruiter will build strong relationships both internally with hiring managers, human resources and externally with campus placement offices and faculty. This person will also assist in the implementation of internship recruiting strategies while continuing to build Discovery’s reputation as a top employer amongst campuses.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of candidate sourcing and the evaluation process, consulting with hiring managers on interviews and offer selection
2. Interview, track and correspond with intern candidates
3. Schedule and manage all on and off campus recruiting events as well as diversity initiatives
4. Coordinate and facilitate campus activities that serve as both branding opportunities for the organization and strategic outreach efforts
5. Drive Discovery’s brand among competitor’s by hosting events, creating opportunities to increase awareness of industry sector and related opportunities
6. Maintain relationships with high potential interns and keep them aware of career opportunities at Discovery
7. Act as the school liaison, by managing all relationships with career services, student clubs, professors and vendors.
8. Develop and foster internal relationship with hiring managers to increase knowledge base of the clients groups
9. Organize and execute internal intern events that service as both networking professional development opportunities for the interns
10. Identify internship recruitment and brand awareness opportunities thorough social media networking
11. Compile and report out intern recruitment metrics and guidelines that consistently measure the efficiency and cost effectiveness of campus recruiting efforts
12. Aid with ad hoc projects within the Global Talent Management department

Requirements:
* Must have at least three years of campus recruiting experience, ideally in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
* High level of energy, initiative and self-direction.
* Individual should have excellent organizational skills, strong communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States
* Bachelor's degree is required- concentration in HR or Communications preferred
