About the Job

Your Talent. Our Vision. At CareMore, a proud member of the Anthem, Inc. family of companies specializing in providing senior Americans a complete and pro-active health care experience, it's a powerful combination. It's the foundation upon which we're creating greater access to care for our members, greater value for our customers and greater health for our communities. Join us and together we will drive the future of health care.

This is an exceptional opportunity to do innovative work that means more to you and those we serve.

CareMore's fully capitated model of care that is tightly integrated with health plan benefit design allows our clinicians to provide outcomes on admissions/1000, readmissions/1000, and control of chronic conditions that top industry benchmarks. This is in part accomplished through a high-engagement model with patients that have regular visits with CareMore clinicians at CareMore Care Centers that offer complementary services to those offered at a patient's PCP office. CareMore's impact on the overall patient population is limited in part by suboptimal scheduling and access to care, 30% no-show and cancellation rates, and low volumes of throughput.

The intern will be fully integrated within the team, contributing to planning and implementation of key initiatives, such as:
  • Review and provide insight into industry research along with recommended actions and strategies
  • Prepares strategic analyses and recommendations to help develop long-term divisional strategy and evaluate new business initiatives
  • Performs industry research and analysis
  • Prepares business plans in conjunction with divisional management, assessing industry trends and competitive dynamics, and developing strategic company and industry overviews
  • Formulates presentations to share findings and recommendations for senior management critical to the decision making process
  • Communicates findings and makes recommendations on issues under review
  • Ad hoc projects in the area of business development

  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in business, public health, or health administration at an accredited college or university
  • Health care consulting experience in strategy and/or operations or experience with process improvement and systems redesign initiatives

Anthem, Inc. is ranked as one of America's Most Admired Companies among health insurers by Fortune magazine and is a 2017 DiversityInc magazine Top 50 Company for Diversity. To learn more about our company and apply, please visit us at antheminc.com/careers. EOE. M/F/Disability/Veteran.
