Category Management Manager

Our downtown Minneapolis office has an immediate opening for a full time Category Manager. This individual will be responsible for working in a consultative role with a buying team for Target Corporation. This role works cross functionally with numerous Unilever and Target Corporation departments, constantly striving to exceed guest expectations across all aspects of the business.

Primary responsibilities of the position are:

•Ability to develop, maintain and grow professional relationships, with trust at the core, among Unilever and Target Corporation personnel across multiple disciplines

•Present unbiased account specific category strategy and subsequent tactics to deliver category growth objectives

•Providing ongoing unbiased insights and recommendations for improving category performance and exceeding guest expectations at all points of contact

•Owning all aspects of the planogram and POG building process.

•Analyze and interpret all sources of Business Intelligence, incorporating into daily activities to exceed guest satisfaction and business objectives

•Be the expert on marketplace competitive and ever changing consumer dynamics

Requirements:

•4+ years work experience in a category management or sales/customer service related field

•Strong analytical skills

•Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills

•Flawless planning, organizational and problem solving skills

•Technical aptitude: MS Office Suite, Syndicated Data/programs, commonly used industry wide applications such as Prospace

•Some lifting

•Intermittent travel
