Stelera Wireless is a new Wireless Internet Services Provider based in Oklahoma City.  We currently own FCC licenses to provide Advanced Wireless Services in over 300 cities across the United States.

Stelera Wireless is currently looking for an experienced Cell/Field Technician to support the day to day maintenance of our WCDMA/UMTS RAN Network.  The requirements for this position include the ability to use various test equipment, such as communications service monitor, RF wattmeter, volt-ohm meter, tone generator, Spectrum Analyzers, T1 Tester, etc.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• This position is responsible for maintaining, monitoring and resolving complex issues at each designated Stelera Wireless cell site.

• Respond to system outages, maintain complete and accurate site logs as wells as asset tracking and inventory control.
• Perform routine maintenance and testing on a weekly, monthly and annual basis as well as assistance with cell site removal and/or installation.
• Must be able to respond to emergency outages during call out situations on 24X7 basis.
• Collaborate with equipment vendors when necessary.

Job Requirements

• Experience or education equivalent of an Associate's degree in radar, electronics, or computer technology.
• Experience in electric, low voltage cabling and computer equipment.
• Familiarity with telecommunication industry and cabling standards.
• Familiarity with aspects of cell site construction
• Understanding of all components of a Nokia network, including T-1 and Microwave Theory.
• Ability to define problems, collect data and establish facts.
• Ability to work without direct supervision up to 98% of the time as required by the job.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts in relation to practical situations.
• Effective time management.
• Intermediate MS Office computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts and on-call as needed.
• Clean driving record required.

An ideal candidates would be located in the Farmington, NM area. Stelera Wireless is not offering relocation assistance for this position.
