Central Planner
Description: This position is responsible for development, coordination and management of supply plan (in alignment with finished goods inventory and service level plans) for an assigned group of finished goods items. Position participates in cross functional projects as they relate to supply and demand planning.
oCoordinate with Planning, Sourcing, Receiving, Warehousing, Logistics, Forecasting, Quality Assurance, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Internal and External Supply Locations to ensure optimal product supply in meeting asset management and customer service goals. oInitiate and monitor supply plans to maintain appropriate inventory balances while delivering target service levels. oDevelop and coordinate product transition plans, for new and modified products. Determine optimal transition dates to minimize excess inventory and provide optimal customer service level. oPrioritize and sequence the supply plan to satisfy customer service levels and customer requirements; work to resolve obstacles relating to product supply. oReview supply capacity data and adjust short-term supply schedules as required to optimize service and inventory turns. oIdentify cost savings / optimization opportunities. oProvide analysis and recommendations for reduction of existing excess inventory. oProvide analysis and recommendations for prevention of future excess inventory. oProvide analysis and recommendations for service level improvements. oParticipate in special projects as required.
Qualifications: oDegree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Marketing or related field o3 to 5 years of Supply Chain Planning experience oExperience using formal ERP system, along with an advanced planning or forecast system oAbility to make sound business decisions, balancing inventory investment and customer service levels oStrong analytical and quantitative skills oAdvanced Excel and Access skills
PREFERRED: oWorking knowledge of JDE OneWorld/PeopleSoft Enterprise One oKnowledge of JohnsonDiversey products and business oBusiness Objects data warehouse reporting experience oAPICS Certification a plus. Position requires APICS Certification, pursuit of certification must begin within 6 months of position start date.
