Serve as a Certification & Accreditation (C&A) documentation development specialist directly supporting systems at DOT. Develop C&A accreditation packages consistent with DOT FISMA requirements. Perform ST&E per FISMA requirements. Plan and execute IA control validation activities and produce risk assessments, POA&Ms, and Scorecards. Consult clients on the latest C&A requirements for their systems.
Researches, organizes, writes, edits and produces technical data for major publication projects. Ensures technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format and style. May participate in the establishment of style guidelines and standards for texts and illustrations. Document data dictionaries and generate ERD diagrams for existing database structures.
Bachelors Degree required with a minimum of five (5) years experience or a Masters degree with three (3) or more years experience. Proficient in Certification and Accreditation Processes based on NIST SP 800 series guidance. Current Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certification & Accreditation Professional (CAP) or similar security professional certification a plus. Strong knowledge of the security disciplines, up to and including security practices and methodologies as it relates to Certification and Accreditation. Possess good organization skills with the ability to exercise discretion and ingenuity to determine the proper course of action while following established standards. Strong analytical and problem solving skills for resolving security issues. Innovative, with resourcefulness and a strong drive for results.
Must have the ability to be focused, work in a demanding environment, and under tight deadlines while producing quality product. Possess and demonstrate good written and verbal skills. Communication and leadership skills to support and interact with internal and external clients and support contractors. Knowledge of Database concepts, Knowledge of Installation and configuration of Windows 2000/2003, SQL Server 2000/2005. Knowledge of web based application, Software to generate ERD diagrams, Developing Data Dictionaries. Experience developing User's Manual, System Design and Configurations Documentation is a must.
