Washington Regional Medical Center, located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, has an immediate opening for a talented self-motivated individual to fill the role of Certified Case Manager. While working independently, this position is responsible for coordinating patient's care plan with physicians and ancillary departments and completing discharge planning and/or utilization review functions for assigned units. This position primarily functions in a nursing clinical setting, with exposure to communicable disease and body fluids. Majority of time is spent sitting (up to 60% of work time) with frequent standing and walking of short distances required (up to 40% of work time.) This position frequently required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 10 lb. (up to 20% of work time.)

The ideal candidate will be a Certified Case Manager and hold an Arkansas RN license. This position requires good knowledge of third party payer guidelines regarding reimbursement as normally acquired through a minimum of one year of case management/UR experience. Good clinical skills are needed to effectively interact with all levels of health care providers. A minimum of three years nursing experience is required. The candidate must possess good written and verbal communication skill along with computer skills (Windows applications) and the ability to operate standard office equipment. Knowledge of "severity of illness" and "intensity of service" criteria (i.e., InterQual is needed.
