Title: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

Experience: 2-4 years in community health care center,private practice or medical center.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required
Certificates/License: Medical Assistant License and National Certification, BLS Certification required.
Hours per Week: Full Time-Days and Evenings
Days of the Week: Monday to Friday and Saturdays
Job Description: The ideal candidate will take vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration’s and weight); give injections; assist clinicians in patient care; wound care/dressing change; call in prescriptions to pharmacies; be proficient in blood glucose monitoring; keep examination rooms neat and clean; prep EMR charts for daily visits; possess the ability to discharge patients (explain use of medication, review discharge instruction and labs, radiology, cardiology, direct patient to proper department); retrieve medical records from other facilities, answer phones and follow-up on messages; complete referral forms; rotate through departments – medical, OB/GYN, pediatrics, etc. as needed; scan and file patient results, be proficient with EHS, and always deliver compassionate, effective patient care. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Additional Requirements: Computer literate and possess the ability to work in a fast pace and high volume environment. Teamwork is essential, as is professionalism and courtesy. Must be able to maintain patient confidentiality.
All pertinent diplomas-high school, college/university, New Jersey or National Certifications are required with submission of resume.
