The C.N.A. is responsible for direct client care under the direction of a registered nurse, LPN, physical or occupation therapist and working within an individualized plan of care for each patient. See job description for specific duties and position requirements.
This position reports directly to the Campus Coordinator and Private Duty Clinical Supervisor as needed. This position respectfully interacts with all residents, family members, visitors and co-workers, and maintains a positive customer service relationship practicing honesty and integrity in all aspects of job performance. In performance of duties, the C.N.A. is entrusted with the following responsibilities (see C.N.A. job description)
1. Responsibilities of the care attendant.
2. Providing personal care responsibilities.
3. Planning and preparing nutritious meals.
4. Assisting in feeding the client, if necessary.
5. Taking and recording temperatures, pulse and respirations and blood pressure as necessary within the training limitations of the care attendant.
6. Assisting in ambulation and exercise according to the service plan.
7. Meeting the safety needs of clients using equipment safely and properly.
This position requires … CNA certification in Illinois
1. Excellent communication (read and write, English), good judgment, high level of organization
2. Genuine compassion for the elderly and disabled, project a friendly personality, understand customer service and team building concepts, ability to deal with residents in a pleasant and professional manner is required.
3. Able to follow service plan and work independently with little direct supervision, able to follow through on assigned tasks and demonstrate initiative.
4..Licensed driver in good standing with insured automobile.
