Triumph HealthCare, based in Houston, Texas, specializes in providing services to medically complex patients for whom the short-term care hospital is no longer the most appropriate or cost-effective setting necessary for continued care.

We are currently seeking self-motivated, self-directed and experienced applicants for the following position.

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Triumph Healthcare is expanding our services in Lima with renovation of our hospital, 6 new ICU rooms, and newly remodeled suites. As patient volumes are at an eleven year high we have increased full time employees over 25% in the last 12 months to ensure the highest quality standards are obtained.


 


Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant


 


The COTA will assist the OT in the care of adult and geriatric persons who acutely ill and have medically complex needs which result in deficits of mobility and daily living activities. Primary responsibilities include:


 


•          Accurately assess patient needs and assist OT with implementation of patient treatment plans


•          Monitor effectiveness of the treatment plan and recommend needed changes


•          Provide patient and family teaching


•          Serve as a liaison between patient and interdisciplinary team


•          Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide timely, safe and cost effective treatment to achieve optimal functional outcomes


•          Participate in performance improvement and program development activities


•          Follow hospital guidelines and policy


 


Requirements include:


•          American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) certification  


•          Excellent communication skills


•          Current BLS


•          One year acute care experience preferred
