Opportunity as a Channel Manager


 


Fiskars, a global manufacturer of branded consumer products, has an exciting opportunity for an energetic and team-oriented individual to fill the role of Channel Manager in the Marketing Department at Fiskars in Madison, WI.  Product line focus includes Garden & Outdoor Living and School, Office, and Craft.  This role will develop marketing promotions and programs for key customers and channels. The key role will be as project manager to ensure that key marketing initiatives are completed on time and within budget in order to help Fiskars meet sales and profit objectives.  The person in this role must have a thorough understanding of the channels as it will be a conduit between sales, marketing, and the Fiskars organization. 


 


Essential duties and responsibilities include:


·         Develop promotional strategies for customers and channels to achieve increased placement of promotions and other marketing/merchandising plans resulting in incremental sales.


·         Coordinate customer product line reviews and gather market data, as needed.


·         Manage the process of developing promotions, merchandising, and Point of Purchase materials for key customers.  Responsible for cross-functional efforts in developing promotions and analyzing data.


·         Be the company expert on channels to improve Fiskars ability to efficiently meet needs of marketplace.


 


Ideal candidate will possess:


·         Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Marketing (or equivalent) with 3 – 5 years experience in sales, product marketing, and/or channel management.


·         Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal departments (sales, consumer marketing, finance, operations, etc.). 


·         Demonstrated ability to implement tactical business plans in a Consumer Products environment to support corporate strategies.


·         Microsoft Office proficiency; Excel experience a must with excellent analytical skills.


·         Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment essential, with a high degree of flexibility and tolerance of change.
