Chaplain

Emory Center for Pastoral Services, Atlanta, GA, seeks a Palliative Care Staff Chaplain to serve Emory University Hospital Clifton and Emory University Hospital Midtown.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master of Divinity degree (M.Div.) from a theological school accredited by American Theological Schools (ATS) or equivalency. Board certified eligible with Association of Professional Chaplains (APC). Prior experience working with palliative care.
Responsibilities:
This person is a vital part of the interdisciplinary team. Participates in educational and academic team activities. Provides spiritual assessment and support to palliative care patients, their families, and clinicians who care for the m. Develops, integrates, and documents a plan based on the religious, spiritual, and existential concerns of the patient and family. Builds partnerships with community clergy and other staff chaplains. Provides education and counseling related to palliative care and end-of-life care. Develops programs of support for patients, families and health care clinicians that focus on their spiritual and bereavement needs.
