Chemical Engineer / Process Engineer

About the Job

ERM is seeking an energetic, self-starting Chemical Engineer / Process Engineer to join our consulting firm in Houston, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Focusing on team project delivery, taking direction primarily from the Project Manager;

  • Independently works with less complex issues and receives technical guidance on more complex problems;

  • Understanding budget/schedule expectations and scope of assignments;

  • Evaluating EHS software systems available on the market, including assisting clients with system requirements, system selection, implementation, system integration, training, rollout, support, maintenance, and improvement;

  • Implementing EHS software for industrial/corporate clients worldwide;

  • Supporting consultant teams that develop environmental compliance solutions with drafting system design documents, configuring technical specifications, analyzing/migrating data, and developing automated custom reporting functionality, and  

  • Participating in system support and training documentation teams, and preparing/presenting training to internal consultants and client system users. 

 

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

  • BS in Chemical Engineering, MS preferred

  • 0 -3 years of experience

  • Experience working with some or all of the following: Visual Basic, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Oracle, Crystal Reports, and HTML

  • Good writing and computational skills

  • Proven quantitative and numerical skills

  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English 

  • Enthusiasm, a high level of energy and the motivation to travel extensively (region wide and worldwide) to meet client needs

  • Persuasive communicators (both verbal and written) and comfortable dealing with management and operators at all levels
