Chemical Engineer / Process Engineer
About the Job
ERM is seeking an energetic, self-starting Chemical Engineer / Process Engineer to join our consulting firm in Houston, TX.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Focusing on team project delivery, taking direction primarily from the Project Manager;
- Independently works with less complex issues and receives technical guidance on more complex problems;
- Understanding budget/schedule expectations and scope of assignments;
- Evaluating EHS software systems available on the market, including assisting clients with system requirements, system selection, implementation, system integration, training, rollout, support, maintenance, and improvement;
- Implementing EHS software for industrial/corporate clients worldwide;
- Supporting consultant teams that develop environmental compliance solutions with drafting system design documents, configuring technical specifications, analyzing/migrating data, and developing automated custom reporting functionality, and
- Participating in system support and training documentation teams, and preparing/presenting training to internal consultants and client system users.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- BS in Chemical Engineering, MS preferred
- 0 -3 years of experience
- Experience working with some or all of the following: Visual Basic, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Oracle, Crystal Reports, and HTML
- Good writing and computational skills
- Proven quantitative and numerical skills
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English
- Enthusiasm, a high level of energy and the motivation to travel extensively (region wide and worldwide) to meet client needs
- Persuasive communicators (both verbal and written) and comfortable dealing with management and operators at all levels
