What we offer

Ensure compliance with all facility SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) policies andprocedures. Ensure conformance and support with facility quality management system. 
Follows established formulas for mixing products on all machines in the departmentusing process orders and manufacturing instructions. Assist with the developmentof and maintenance of manufacturing instructions and standard operating procedures. Pumps, and/or lifts and dumps containers/bags of materials into hoppers and tanksto create batches of material.
Follow test procedures to validate that product performance is within set specificationrange and enter information into the operating system. Also trained to operate varioustesting equipment.
Operates high lift truck and hoist to transport material.
Inspects mixing/blend tanks/reactors and associated equipment after each completedbatch, and clean mixing tanks and associated equipment as required.
Fills containers with completed mixes, palletizes, and transports to stage area.
Extracts samples and performs all required testing, per support documentation, and enters test results in the operating system. Performs calculations needed to make proper adjustments in accordance to procedures.
Enters information required on manufacturing instructions or run sheet and completesnecessary paperwork for documentation. Maintains accurate inventories, performs production reporting, inventory transfers, tally card process, and picks components when batch is complete utilizing the operating system. Reports abnormal conditionsof batches and machines to Supervisor.
Employ 5S, Visual Factor and lean manufacturing techniques, value stream mapping,and be assigned to attend team meetings designed to reduce cycle time, remove wasteand non-value added activities, and reduce costs.
Maintain good housekeeping standards including cleaning equipment and general workarea, polishing, sweeping, trash removal, operate motorized floor scrubber, assure allequipment/tools/RM’s are stored in proper locations, and no aisle, fire extinguishers, emergency exits are blocked.
The activities of this position have the potential to have significant environmental impact.Conformance with all Health, Safety and Environmental Management System policiesand procedures is mandatory.
Must be trained in grounding and bonding procedures to control static electricity.
May be requested to perform operator preventative maintenance on equipment.
Will handle both hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with procedures.
May be required to adjust work hours and/or work overtime to meet business demands.
Obtain input from Shift Leader, Production Team Leader, and/or Plant Supervisor for thetasks required for the day based on schedule.
Performs various other duties as assigned.


Who we are looking for

Chemical Operator has the authority to shut down production operations when processesare out of control or otherwise outside of production specifications, or operations thatintroduce risk of injury or damage to people, property or the environment of the business.Makes decisions concerning production line activities to ensure adherence to the GlobalManagement Policy.
High school diploma/GED required. 
Passing of standardized cognitive company test(s). 
Prior experience in a chemical batch mixing industry preferred. 
Must be a self-starter, who requires little direct supervision. 
Moderate PLC experience is preferred.
At a minimum, must be able to read, write, use a computer, reason, calculate simple math, work on multiple tasks simultaneously, speak and hear conversational speech, drive high lifttruck.
Must be able to twist knobs, pull levers, turn valves, push control buttons, and attachhose connection.
Must be able to pass medical clearance to wear a full-face respirator. 
Must apply personal protective equipment including full face mask respirator, hearing protection, and frequent change of specified rubber gloves.
This position requires the use of chemicals, some of which may contain hazardous material, and involves handling, moving, storing, and/or disposing of waste that may contain hazardous materials. Proper training, protective equipment and instruction for safety practices will be provided.
