We are currently looking for a Chemical Process Engineer based in our Portsmouth, NH offices.  This non-management position will provide engineering support for commercial development projects at our Ohio test site and other testing locations. Extensive travel may be required at times. The individual will be responsible for conducting safety reviews, monitoring process operations, updating SOPs, providing process training, commissioning equipment and writing test plans. This position will require travel, possibly up to 50%.


 


Primary responsibilities include:



  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills with experience working with technical personnel at all levels from process operators through senior managers.
  • Ability to manage time and priorities to meet multiple project deadlines.
  • Experience estimating capital and operating costs for power production or industrial chemical processes.
  • Ability to work with Research and Development group to apply laboratory and pilot plant results to full-scale process designs.
  • Strong computer skills to assist with report writing, cost estimating, and document control.

 


Education:



  • B.S. Degree in chemical engineering.

 


Preferred experience:



  • Understanding of coal-fired electric power production processes and the associated pollution control equipment.
  • Operations or maintenance experience from the chemical, pulp & paper or power production industries.
