Huntsman currently has a challenging opportunity for a Sales Representative to support the Advanced Materials (AdMat) division. Field Sales / Home Based opportunity. Due to the amount of travel, the home office must be in the Central or Western US strategically located near a major airport.
The incumbent will be responsible for aggressively maintaining and growing a defined direct field sales territory in the Central or Western US covering the aerospace market. In this position you will be responsible for selling Huntsman products such as composite resins, syntactics, paste and liquid adhesives as well as tooling materials to prime and subcontractor accounts. Knowledge of the aerospace specification process is a plus. This is a road warrior position and requires approximately 50 to 75% of travel.
Essential responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

Deliver positive sales growth by increasing the company's share of the aerospace market through penetrating existing accounts and adding new ones while uncovering new sales opportunities and building a strong sales pipeline.

Coordinate all other function interaction at accounts such as R&D, Marketing or Technical Service.

Manage first line technical responses to customers.
-
Communicate market news or competitive activity that impacts delivery of the agreed upon plan and make recommendations to improve our position.

Document customer activities, detail sales opportunities and track new product ideas using the designated reporting tools on time, accurate and in detail.

Deliver positive financial results beyond sales growth such as receivables, DSO and forecasting.

Track, manage and follow up on leads including samples and field trial opportunities.
Other General Responsibilities:

Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

Assists other employees in accomplishment of Huntsman company goals.

Participates in and completes company-required training programs.

Participates in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
Educational Requirements and Work Experience:
-
A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Aerospace Engineering or Business Administration.

5 - 10 years experience in either a sales or commercial role with a solid track record of securing sales is required.

Experience selling chemicals to the Aerospace market is preferred.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required along with the ability to maintain effective work relations with persons encountered during the course of employment.

The ability to be flexible and adapt to new instructions and/or dynamic organizational priorities is critical for job success.
Special Qualifications (Training, Technical skills, etc.):
-
Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, E-mail and Microsoft programs.

Knowledge of the Aerospace specification process is beneficial.
