Position Description

Chemist/Biochemist

Discovery and Analytical Sciences at RTI International is seeking a Chemist/Biochemist to participate in the conduct of pharmacokinetic and ADME studies.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
* Qualitative and quantitative analysis of radio labeled chemicals and their metabolites in urine, tissues, and blood, analysis of pharmacokinetic data.
* Conduct analyses according to written SOPs or verbal instructions.
* Perform careful and precise analytical work, and to maintain thorough records.

The candidate will be expected to participate in the planning, execution, and reporting of research.

Qualifications
* BS in chemistry, biochemistry, or related discipline plus 3 years professional experience.
* MS in chemistry, biochemistry, or related discipline plus 1 year professional experience.
* Experience with absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion studies and pharmacokinetic studies preferred, as is experience in the use of radioactivity.
* Experience with HPLC.
* Experience working with animal studies.

Preferred skills:
* GLP
* Working knowledge of basic organic chemistry, and aptitude for learning new computer programs and technology.
* Experience with computer spreadsheet, graphics, word processing and presentation programs. ***
