Do you have experience designing heavy machinery from the ground up? Is that experience with primary processing machine design? Are you proficient in Inventor 3D and MRP Programs? Do you have experience with hydraulics and pneumatics? My client designs and builds high quality custom and standard heavy machinery. They are presently looking for talent to add to their successful team of engineers. They have an opening for a Chief Design Engineer – Heavy Machinery who has sound, hands-on design experience. Responsibilities for this position include: R&D work involving mechanisms, motion and metallurgy, design of new models involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components. Preparation of layouts, drawings and calculations that adhere to industry, government and company standards Specify requirements to control motion of mechanical designs Manage multiple projects
This position will require: BSME. Masters preferred At least 20 years experience designing processing machinery – Plastics a plus Knowledge of motion, actuators, metallurgy, fasteners, power transmission, fabrication and metal machining FEA Experience Development of Multi-level BOM’s Experience in a MRP environment
