Chief Estimator

Road construction company is seeking a qualified Chief Estimator for the entire Western PA area.

Responsibilities

• Full cycle estimating for heavy highway including:  asphalt; concrete; bridges; township roads; commercial projects
  
• Write bid proposals for projects
  
• Attend pre-bid meetings
  
• Assist management in setting and maintaining profit margins
  
• Meet productivity goals for bids produced
  
• Creation of best practices and procedures.  Train department on new ways to more efficiently and accurately estimate and manage large projects
  
• Management of estimating department

Qualifications

• Experience in industry bidding
  
• Demonstrated experience with subcontractors; vendor bids; material manufacturing; DOTs
  
• Technology driven – HCSS and construction software
  
• Leadership skills and experience
