This town offers all the amenities of a small, first class city, including our hospital, medical clinics, pharmacies, police and fire departments, and a U.S. Coast Guard cutter for safety at sea. The Company:
This state-of-the-art hospital is licensed for 22 medical beds and 28 nursing home beds. Currently a Critical Access Facility, the campus also includes a 25 bed Long Term Care facility.
The hospital is governed by a nine member Board of Directors. An elected Service Area Board provides public recommendation on capital spending and scope of services. The hospital employees over 300 local residents, and is the area’s largest employer, contributing over $12,000,000 annually to the local economy in payroll alone.
