Chief Legal Counsel
The Rhode Island Department of Elementary and Secondary Education seeks an individual to provide legal counsel to theCommissioner of Education in matters related to educational policy and law and labor relations. The position will be
responsible for providing the supervision and administration of all legal responsibilities of the Department of Education,
including hearings, advisory opinions, legal representation in the courts, administrative proceedings, and arbitrations. The
successful candidate will also be directly responsible for handling all legal issues relating to the delivery of special education.
