Specialized apparel manufacturer seeks Chief Operating Officer with a strong sales and marketing background to report to the CEO and be responsible for all aspects of managing the profit and loss.  This individual will facilitate the continued strong customer service, growth and reputation of the company as a market leader and will work to improve operational discipline, measures and activities geared at strong relationships with the customer.  Ability to drive the sales and marketing aspects of the business will be critical as well as knowledge of lean processes and systems in order to drive improved consistency and differentiation in the marketplace.  Specific responsibilities include:

• Provide strategic and daily leadership of the sales and marketing functions


• Lead the continued development and execution of strategic and operating plans through metrics based sound business principles and processes.


• Direct supervision of the marketing and sales and operations of the business.


• Provide leadership in the continued deployment of technology.


• Maintain and/or improve customer service and satisfaction.

Requirements include a minimum of 10-15 years experience with a Bachelor’s degree and an M.B. A. preferred.   The successful candidate will be an exceptional leader and have general management experience with strong sales and marketing credentials in a business-to-business entity driven by excellent marketing, customer service, product development, sales, distribution, and manufacturing/operational performance.  Experience in a highly customized manufacturing environment with broad and diverse customer requirements will be helpful.
