Provides leadership, direction and administration of operations to ensure compliance with established objectives and the realization of quality, economical health care services. Responsibilities include approving and facilitating department policies and procedures; objectives; performance improvement programs; QSM; safety, environmental and infection control standards.  You will also oversee departmental managers and approve goals and allocation of resources. The COO assists in the preparation of hospital/department budgets, yearly plans and allocation of funds based upon review of department estimates/recommendations.

 

MBA/MHA is required with at least 3-5 years of experience with a for-profit, acute care hospital, including overseeing general operations for ancillary departments and strategic planning, physician relations and recruitment.  Must have excellent human relations skills and be an excellent communicator.
