The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for managing all hands-on operational aspects of a fast growing Information Technology company. Assists the CEO in the aggressive and successful growth of the company. This position directs, administers, and coordinates the activities for the organization in support of policies, goals, and objectives established by the Chief Executive Officer. The candidate must have a proven track record of overseeing all day-to-day technical/contract operations, managing the overall relationship with clients, ability to work with Chief Executive Officer to develop current and new strategic business plans, ensures quality and customer satisfaction, managing the overall contract budgeting process and support technical proposal development including pricing expertise. Ability to proactively address strategic plans including forecasting and projected growth.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Duties and responsibilities of this position include guiding and directing management in the development, production, promotion, and sale of the organization’s services and products.
- Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives. Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and management to service organization that mirrors the adopted mission and core values for the company.
- Motivate and lead a high performance management team; attract, recruit and train required members of the executive team currently in place; provide mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development program.
- Represent the firm with clients and business partners. Act as a lead "client-care officer" through direct contact with every client and partner.

Be a strategic thinker who looks for patterns, identifies problems or opportunities, and takes action; strategic technological leadership experience; provide support in implementation processes in all areas.
- Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external.
- Establishes policies consistent with the Chief Executive Officer’s broad policies and objectives and ensures their execution.
- Work efficiently and independently; act responsibly in a collaborative environment with multiple work demands and short time frames; delegate appropriately and provide opportunities for staff to further develop their skills; must be willing to roll up his/her sleeves and get into the details of issues and opportunities.
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, healthcare related field, or business management; MBA degree highly desirable.
Experience Required:
- Must possess at least 15+ years experience in federal government or government contracting experience with IT background.
- Previous leadership experience with a proven record of accomplishment, at an executive level, within a Software/Systems related industry preferred.
- Previous Software/Systems experience resulting in a broad understanding within a government and commercial environments.
