Join Northrop Grumman today! We have an immediate opening for a Chief Architect for the Army Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Business Operating System (PPB BOS) program. The candidate's primary objective will be to align the technology vision with the business strategy by integrating planning, systems, and processes related to US. Army Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution activities. This person will report directly to the Program Manager and will be responsible for formulating and guiding the technical direction and vision for the program. This role will require coordination between the New Development and Operations and Sustainment groups, as focusing primarily on consistency of system architecture solutions, and compliance with DOD policies and regulations.
The candidate will work closely with the US Army government representatives that have responsibility for the PPB BOS architecture, external system interfaces, and governance/compliance reviews of the architecture.
The candidate must be thoroughly familiar with BTA's Business Enterprise Architecture, and have direct experience with BEA 6.0. In addition, the candidate must have an in depth knowledge of DODAF 1.5/2.0, SFIS, and FISMA.
The candidate will make use of outstanding verbal and written communication skills and will thrive in an agile environment to design and execute systems architectures.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: - Interact with system stakeholders to translate business requirements into database systems, hardware and software requirements and design - Define and develop system level architecture, system decomposition, and functional requirements allocation - Define and develop system level requirements applying Use Case-based requirements methodologies - Analyze requirements to verify requirement integrity, testability, and completeness - Conduct independent technical investigations in systems design - Define and clearly document complex system scenarios using sequence diagrams using UML, flow charts, etc. - Provide support to Software Engineers and Test Engineers regarding requirements related issues - Conduct and participate in formal reviews providing comments that contribute to the quality of our products - Participation in company developmental test strategies and troubleshooting of day to day engineering problems and issues
The following are the Basic Qualifications for this position: - BS in Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 9 years of directly related work experience. Or, an additional 4 years of work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. An active Secret level security clearance, and willingness to travel (up to 25%) of the time is required. 5 years direct experience driving system architecture efforts. Thorough understanding of BEA 6.0 and a thorough understanding of SFIS and FISMA .
