At Franciscan Hospital for Children we provide the most comprehensive care for children with special health care needs in the country. Our dedicated staff provide compassionate quality care to our kids helping them reach their fullest potential with opportunities to do psychiatric evaluation, consultation and supervision. We currently seek a part-time MA Board certified/board eligible Psychiatrists with children and adolescent experience.
This part-time (10-12 hrs per week) position for a School-Based Psychiatrist is part of our Children Wellness Initiative Program. Established in 2004, the CWI program provides on-site mental health services to children in five Boston-area public schools. The CWI serves children from preschool through middle school, and the program utilizes a multi-disciplinary team to identify children with potential mental health difficulties.
Each of the sites has a Site Manager, who works with the psychiatrist to identify and refer children in need of psychiatric evaluation. The psychiatrist will visit each of the five schools once or twice a month and also hold office hours one afternoon per week.
