JOB DESCRIPTION: Under direct supervision from their shift supervisor, provides 24-hour care for children aging from newborn to four years of age. Provides daily care for children in a homelike environment by assisting with daily activities such as feeding, bathing, clothing and providing for the emotional, physical and developmental needs of the child. Prepares bottles and formulas; ensures the proper type and amount of formula for each child. Oversees and administers medications. Washes, dries, folds and sorts each child's clothes. Plans fun, educational activities for the children (on and off site). Purchases groceries and plans meals with adaptations for the special nutritional requirements of medically fragile infants/toddlers. Accompanies shift supervisors on children's medical and therapy appointments and family visits. Communicates information about each child's daily activities in individual logbooks. Maintains a detailed record of each child's daily activities in individual logbooks. Operates and maintains various clinical equipment. Participates in monthly fire drills, safety instruction, and meetings. Follows safety and security procedures at all times. Participates in on-site therapy sessions in order to incorporate therapeutic activities into the children's daily activities. Maintains and updates personal health information and completes training required by My House and state license. Performs related responsibilities as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. One year of experience working with children. Knowledge of infant and child development is preferred. Maintains a valid Georgia driver's license and an insurable driving record.
