













RTI International's Survey Research Division is seeking a Chronic Disease Registry Epidemiologist to develop and expand RTI's research in chronic disease surveillance. Specifically, we are seeking someone to expand RTI's work in these areas though government contracts and grants. This person will act as Project Director to a larger team of interdisciplinary staff for disease registries studies, lead the development of business opportunities involving the creation of new types of disease registries as requested by federal clients, and design and evaluate projects related to disease registries,

Responsibilities
A significant amount of time in this position will be spent focusing on the operational aspects of developing and managing chronic disease registries and other surveillance systems.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Leading proposals for grants and contracts
* Developing and leading projects
* Business planning and development
* Performing related business development tasks
* Expanding work into other chronic disease surveillance areas
* Presenting work from projects at scientific conferences
* Publishing project work in scientific, peer-reviewed journals
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Epidemiology or related field preferred with a proven track record of winning proposals, a strong record of publications, and strong project management and budgeting experience.
A minimum of 10 years related experience:
* With building cancer and/or other chronic disease registries.
* As a Principle Investigator in required area
* Working on studies funded by Centers for Disease Control, the National Cancer Institute, or other federal agencies, and state or private funding sources***
