Position Profile:The Circuit Card Test Technician will provide a variety of duties related to bench and component level testing of complex cable assemblies, circuit cards, and other assemblies that combine to form a state-of-the-art networked data link in support of the new build and field returns of high performance data link systems and products for L-3 Communications the sixth largest defense contractor in the United States.
  • The Circuit Card Test Technician performs bench and component level testing of varied products.
  • Read and interpret diagrams, tables and schematics to isolate problems.
  • Work from written test procedures and specification drawings to validate hardware.
  • Work with Engineers to resolve problematic issues and defects


Competencies:
  • Understand basic electrical theory and electronics test equipment and their applied use in the test of component level digital and analog electronics.
  • Understand microprocessor architecture and CPLD's.
  • Ability to conduct hardware-software debugging and perform problem isolation.
  • Capable of developing test processes to validate product performance contributing to the manufacturing process improvement.
  • Effective communication skills to expeditiously coordinate efforts through all phases of the manufacturing process.
  • Ability to prioritize work, be flexible and productive with litter supervision.
  • Previous use of Gopel/Cascon software is a plus
  • CCA defect identification preferred
  • Use and familiarity with Microsoft office products.


Education/Experience: This position requires an Associates Degree plus two years of applicable experience.

Special Requirements: Due to the nature of our work this position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.

Additional Comments: This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the successful applicants skills, education and experience.
