Cisco Engineers (Level 3 and Level 4)
Cincinnati Bell Technology Solutions is currently seeking several Level 4 (CCIE Level) and Level 3 (CCIE equivalent) positions available that will be involved with Wireless, Security, IPT/Unity and LAN/WAN. These positions are located in Cincinnati, OH and candidates MUST be able to work out of the Cincinnati location. Job Requirements: · Minimum of 7 years of relevant network operations experience in large enterprise environment consisting of 1600+ nodes or larger. · Installation and setup of routers, switches, facilitate circuit installations, modems/CSU/DSU and knowledge of network systems Assist in Process or Procedure improvement task forces · Analyzes existing processes and procedures and assists in the design of new processes and procedures · Documents any customization specific to the solution · Follows documented Standards, such as Best Practices, and Security Guidelines · Executes change control requests and processes · Create problem log tickets at the appropriate problem ownership and escalation levels or any of the above problems that require Network Operations problem resolution or escalation to other platform teams. · Monitor obsolescence and help to maintain current Network Operations documentation for the JPMC document repository. · Work with vendors to troubleshoot issues and coordinate dispatches. Must be able to independently guide a vendor through hands-on troubleshooting over the phone. · Must know intermediate commands and be able to independently read the output and determine mitigation and/or resolution steps based on the commands entered during troubleshooting of the following on a daily basis: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, IGRP, NAT, IP, IPX, Subnetting, Multicast, HSRP, SNA, DLSW, STUN, BSTUN, Frame Relay, ISDN, FDDI, SONET, OCx, Token Ring, Ethernet, DWDM, Access-List. · Must have strong technical proficiency with current data network equipment in use · Knowledge of networking best practices · Ability to independently troubleshoot routing and switching issues in a Cisco environment at a working level. · Must know intermediate commands and be able to independently read the output and determine mitigation and/or resolution steps based on the commands entered during troubleshooting of the following equipment on a daily basis: Cisco routers & switches and firewalls, CSS & GSS Load Balancers equipment. · Ability to understand the technologies well enough to give working troubleshooting classes to lower-level analyst.
