Roles:

Responsible for roadway, site, and aviation design, calculations and CAD drafting production.  Prepares plans, designs and analyze data for civil engineering projects such as roads, aiports, railroads, bridges, pipelines, tunnels, and water and sewage systems with limited supervision.  Additional tasks may include preparation of complex studies, construction documents, drawingsm maps, reports and supporting documentation quantities, construction cost estimates, attend and host meetingswith clients, prepare documentation to obtain required permits, attends seminars and training sessions, and prepare scopes of work and manhour estimates.

Qualifications:

Four year degree in Civil Engineering.  A Masters degree can be substitited for 1-2 years of experience.  Minimum of 6 years of civil engineering design experience with emphasis on transportation and site design, including horizontal and vertical geometry, grading, stormwater and detention design.  Aviation and FAA design experienceis preferred.  Must possess strong writing and presentation skills and proposal writing experience;  knowledge and understanding of civil design, good problem-solving and communication skills.  P.E. required (Illinois or ability to obtain preferred).  Microsoft Office Suite and Microstation required.  Powerpoint and/or Project experience would be beneficial.
