Civil Engineer III

About the Job

Are you are an experienced engineer with a broad skill set and a passion for tackling complex and interesting projects?   Suffolk, one of the fastest growing cities in Virginia, is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer III in our Public Works Department to perform professional and technical work involving project management for design and construction of complex capital improvement projects.    Work involves significant involvement in management of capital improvement projects and performing engineering reviews of private construction plans to ensure compliance with City codes and engineering standards.  Where better to put your skills to work than in Suffolk?  Come be a part of our growth as you grow your career with us!

 

Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or closely related field with three years previous experience and/or training that includes project management for design/construction of engineering projects, engineering plan review, computer-aided engineering design, utility hydraulic analysis and personal computer operations.   Must possess and maintain a valid Professional Engineer (P.E.) license

 

Salary:  $57,877 - $75,241
