Position Objective:

NAE is seeking to add Forensic Civil/Structural Engineers to our expert team to perform forensic investigations through fieldwork, and a thorough knowledge of engineering principles. Candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.  

Position Responsibilities: 

• Perform structural engineering analysis on catastrophe claims and structural rep
• Conduct building investigations and building condition surveys
• Perform analysis and investigations of various building materials
• Develop reports and studies
• Perform structural analysis and design
• Prepare design documents for building structures
• Responsible for tracking and managing project assignments
• Hands on field investigations
• Travel is required

 Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering
• Must have strong analytical capabilities and expertise in structural modeling
• Working knowledge of building codes
• 5-10 years of experience
• NCEES
• Professional Engineer by exam
• Structural design experience preferred
• Completion of Structural I, Structural II and “West Coast” Structural Exams a plus
• Desire to learn and grow as a professional
