Job Purpose:
Serves customers by establishing customer relationships; determining and documenting loss.
Duties:
* Establishes customer relationships by initiating contacts; making appointments.
* Determines covered loss by meeting with insured's; inspecting losses; investigating incidents; interpreting policy coverage; explaining coverage; determining subrogation and salvage.
* Provides claims information by documenting claims transactions; preparing and forwarding reports.
* Documents required repairs by obtaining costs and prices; preparing estimates.
* Completes claims by obtaining, providing, and exchanging information and agreements with contractors, public adjusters, attorneys, and other third parties.
* Documents claims management actions by writing letters to insured's; maintaining contact with accounts; keeping territory management informed.
* Conduct marketing/sales efforts via telephone and in-person to develop new business
* Maintains professional knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
