Job Title: -- Claims Manager

Job Summary: -- This position supports EMCOR Group, Inc. in directing worldwide Risk Management objectives and property/casualty insurance programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: --

Responsible for managing General/Automobile Liability claims (inclusive of recoveries) to optimum outcomes by working directly with third party claim administrators, insurance companies, subsidiaries, defense counsel and others

  • Provide guidance, expertise and training regarding claims management and risk issues with subsidiary operations

  • Manage claim case reserves, authorize strategies and settlements, organize claim meetings and reviews

  • Conduct quality audits with vendors and claim administrators, promote and ensure service excellence

  • Provide reporting for actual and projected loss data, recoveries and /or other financial information

  • Available 24/7/365 to respond to emergency circumstances and general inquires

  • Other duties and responsibilities as required by EMCOR

  • Travel: Approximately 15%

Qualifications: --

  • B.A./B.S. degree preferred (degree in Finance a plus)

  • Minimum of 10 years direct experience handling General Liability claims for an insurer or T.P.A is required and experience with other types of casualty claims is a plus

  • Adept with contractual and insurance related obligations, standards and practices

  • Professional communication, presentation skills

  • Ability to manage multi – location teams and individuals to obtain high quality outcomes, within tight timeframe and cost effective use of resources.

  • Excellent computer skills: Lotus Notes and database skills, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Facilities, Construction, Industrial Services industry experience a plus
