UnitedHealth Group has submitted a proposal in response to the TriCare Managed Care Support Contract Solicitation (also known as the "T-3 Solicitation"). TriCare is the health care program serving active duty service members, National Guard and Reserve members, retirees, their families, survivors and certain former spouses. As a potential government contractor, this position requires U.S. citizenship and proof of favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense form SF85P. Position Description: This position will be accountable to develop business processes and workflows to ensure operational readiness of the TRICARE program for steady state operations. Positions in this function are responsible for providing expertise or general claims support to teams in reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating, processing and adjusting claims. Authorizes the appropriate payment or refers claims to investigators for further review. Conducts data entry and re-work; analyzes and identifies trends and provides reports as necessary. Manages and is accountable for professional employees and/or supervisors. Qualifications: - 3 years of exempt level operations management experience managing at least 40-50 people is required
- 5 years of supervisory experience is required
- Start-up operations experience is preferred
- Previous leadership development courses and training are preferred
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- Sets team direction, resolves problems and provides guidance to members of own team
- Will oversee work activities of other supervisors
- Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges
- Influences or provides input to forecasting and planning activities
- Product, service or process decisions are most likely to impact multiple groups of employees and/or customers (internal or external)
