

Key responsibilities: - Training, mentoring, providing technical guidance and managing performance for the claims investigation team Key requirements: - 5 years claims or related experience strongly preferred Additional information: This opportunity can be remotely based in our St. Louis, MO or Chicago, IL field offices
- Ensuring that assigned staff are customer-focused in providing timely professional services
- Serving as the technical lead to direct and review the daily transactions of staff and ensuring that all activities adhere to fair settlement practices
- Completing and delivering performance appraisals of team members
- Identifying trends in file handling practices which require team coaching and training
- Conducting on the job training as required
- Leading staff through change, guiding individual development, and supporting/administering the talent/performance management process
- 2 years supervisory experience including conducting performance evaluations, performance management, in addition to coaching and developing staff
- Proven leadership skills, and the demonstrated ability to guide others to exercise independent judgment and initiative in the investigation and disposition recommendation of suspicious claims
- Superior oral and written communication, and interpersonal with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external contacts
- Comprehensive knowledge of statutes regarding surveillance, information sharing, and the prosecution process
- Ability to manage unit to adhere to litigation and expense management guidelines
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Prior experience and the proven ability to identify cases needing special expertise and referring these cases to the appropriate resource
- Current License or the willingness to obtain licenses in multiple states required
- Superior organizational skills, proficient computer skills and ability to utilize multiple databases
