Superior Solutions Inc. (SSI), an innovative, rapidly growing company is seeking qualified applicants to support the position of Mapping Specialist.  This is a full-time position with a competitive benefits package.

Job Summary: Performs all phases of cartographic compilation of work in the construction, revision, and maintenance of Real Estate Division maps and charts.  Assembles and reviews available data pertinent to the real estate program or project.  Prepares base maps, real estate project maps, mineral segment maps, and special maps (for planning and land management).  Prepares data for utilization in the conduct of field instrument surveys, prepares requirements for boundary survey work, and prepares real property legal descriptions.  Performs advance production level drafting.  Determines and plots project and real project boundary lines based on guide taking lines established.  Computes land areas using principles of geometry and trigonometry.  Uses Computer Aided Drafting and Design software and equipment with existing maps or Ariel photographic data to compose or revise real estate project maps.  Performs field reconnaissance for the purpose of evaluating site conditions.  Prepares scope of work and cost estimates for required surveys.  Analyzes details and negotiates a fair reasonable price.  Issues work orders to contractor, monitors progress of work, and makes necessary inspections to insure that contracted services paid for have been received.

Qualifications:  Knowledge of a wide range of real estate principles, practices, concepts, and a good understanding of the real estate market.  Knowledge and skill in analyzing and interpreting regulations pertaining to a broad scope of real estate activities.  Knowledge of real estate laws, policies, and procedures to advise property owners, customers, and others in private sector.  Knowledgeable in using the principles of geometry and trigonometry in plotting project and real project boundary lines.  Ability to operate planimeters, mechanical and electronic calculations, and programmable electronic calculations.
