SilkRoad technology is looking for a sharp, energetic, focused, and professional Client Side Web Designer/Developer to work out of our Winston Salem location. SilkRoad technology is a rapidly growing software company that provides business solutions to Organizations to more effectively acquire, develop, and retain their employees.

The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding and have rich experience in web application development, have very strong front-end programming skills, know how to use Photoshop to create and extend web designs, understand and have experience with information architecture and possess a desire to perform a wide variety of tasks in a fast-paced working environment. A typical project may require the candidate to serve as information architect, designer and programmer necessitating a high comfort level with multi-tasking. Many projects will require the successful candidate to translate technical requirements into wireframes to communicate the needs of a particular programming effort; and to wrap wireframes with HTML/CSS/JS functionality and graphics into skin-able web prototypes. Other projects will require creation of reusable client-side control (such as those found in the YUI or GWT.)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The position is open to entry level or mid-level applicants. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

• At least 4 years work experience with Javascript
• At least 4 years work experience with HTML/DHTML/CSS
• Strong working experience with AJAX
• Firm understanding to strong working knowledge of .NET and Coldfusion
• Firm understanding of information architecture
• Very comfortable with Photoshop
• Experience and firm understanding of user-centric website design
• Experience with writing technical requirements
