Behavioral Health Group is opening a new outpatient substance abuse treatment clinic in late December in Joplin, Missouri. We are seeking qualified health care professionals at competitive salaries with excellent benefits for the following positions:
Facility hours will be Monday-Friday 6AM-1:30PM; Saturday 7-10AM; closed Sunday.
Medical Director (Part Time) MD or DO; DEA approved
Total medical responsibility for clinic patients.
- Must be able to assess individuals applying for admission as well as the physical and mental stability for outpatient substance abuse treatment
- Must be available to participate in utilization reviews and quality improvement
- Evaluates individuals applying for admission
- Conducts physical exams as required by federal, state and BHG policy
- Evaluates lab results, urine drug screen resuilts, writes orders based upon the individual needs of the patients, reviews medical therapy and documents those activities in patient charts
- Serves as advisor to the medical and cousneling staff in formulation and implementation of each patient's medical treatment
- Participates in staff meetings and is available for consultation with clinic staff
- Participates in community consultation and mental health education as it relates to substance abuse
- Ensures medical responsibility is covered during his/her absence and ensures 24-hour response to emergency care providers when they require consultation for one of the clinic patients
- Collaborates whenever necessary with other physicians, clinics or hospitals participating in the treatment of clinic patients
Clinic Director/Nurse (Est. Start Nov 15)
Responsible for:
- Direct supervision of facility’s personnel
- Supervision of delivery of treatment services
- Observation and evaluation of patient's progress
- Implementation of company policies and procedures
- Adherence to state, federal and accrediting agency regulatory requirements
- Medicate and observe clients per physician’s orders while maintaining awareness of pertinent Federal, State, and accrediting body requirements relevant to the treatment of addicted individuals
Applicant Requirements:
- Current LPN or RN licensure
- CPR certification
- Must clear DEA background screening (completed by employer)
- Thorough knowledge of drugs, drug affects and drug abuse
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective and timely decision-making
- Capable of effectively delivering positive and negative feedback to subordinates
- Prior experience in the chemical dependency field is preferred
- Excellent phlebotomy, computer and organizational skills
Substance Abuse Counselor
Responsible for:
- Assisting patients in identifying, maximizing, and relating their strengths to appropriate social, educational (academic and vocational), and occupational goals
- Helping the patients prepare and adjust to a drug free existence
- Offering assistance (emotional and physical) in problematic issues
- Attending weekly staff meetings prepared to discuss assigned individual caseload
- Reporting to the Clinic Director for provision of services to assigned patients and adherence to schedules, established program policies and procedures, and applicable Federal, State and Local regulations
Applicant Requirements:
- MSAPCB certified (CSAC II or higher) or licensed mental health professional (LPC, LCSW)
- Prior chemical dependency treatment experience
