Role Description:
The Clinical Director is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures for the outpatient and residential adolescent substance abuse treatment clinical services programs. The Clinical Director works to ensure the program’s clinical services are evidenced based and adhere to ASAM criteria, OARs and other clinical, ethical and legal standards. They conduct effective clinical supervision and oversight of professional staff; including chart audits, performance evaluations etc. The Clinical Director maintains contractual agreements with state and partnering agencies to ensure regulatory compliance of those agreements. The Clinical Director requires a professional, enthusiastic and energetic personality that works well with a treatment team and is excited about the possibilities for being an integral part of program development and improvement. A Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental/Behavioral Health field and prior experience working with substance abusing populations, including youth is preferred. Valid ODL required.
Applicants must submit to a criminal history check to verify legal history, submit to initial and thereafter random UA’s, provide reference checks to be used in the hiring process, and submit to a face-to-face interview.
1) Within the last three years, the applicant may not have been convicted of:
a. Any crime or violation under ORS chapter 475, including but not limited to the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, or under ORS 813.010, driving under the influence of intoxicants;
b. A substantially similar crime or violation in any other state; or
c. Any felony.
2) An invalid Oregon driver’s license and/OR a driving record that precludes insurability by the agencies insurance carrier would make an applicant ineligible for hire.
3) Recovering Individuals: For an individual recovering from a substance abuse related disorder; the performance of a staff members essential job functions in connection with staff and clients; who themselves may be trying to recover from a substance abuse related disorder, demands that an applicant or person hired as a counselor or treatment staff member be able to demonstrate continuous sobriety under nonresidential, independent living conditions for the immediate past two years.
