The Association For Community Living, a vital human services organization headquartered in Springfield, MA, is seeking a skilled and compassionate leader to oversee clinical operations. The Association For Community Living was founded by five mothers of young children with developmental disabilities and was incorporated on December 17, 1952. The Association established a tradition of pioneering innovative programs and has long been a recognized leader in consistently providing quality programs that promote community living for children and adults with disabilities and support for their families. Today, we serve more than 1,600 children and adults and 1,200 families in 89 cities and towns across Western Massachusetts and northern Worcester County through a growing and diverse range of programs. Programs provide support in areas such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down syndrome, developmental disabilities, behavioral health, nursing supports and adult family care.
The Position
Under the Direction of the Executive Director, the Clinical Director is responsible for direct oversight for all clinical services across the agency for programs serving individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. This position ensures that the individuals served within the agency receive quality care while adhering to the federal and state licensing.
Responsibilities include case consultation, functional analysis, behavioral assessment, treatment plan writing, clinical staff supervision, regulatory management and staff training.
Experience and Skills Desired:
· Licensed, clinical psychologist with Ph.D. in field of psychology; 3-5 years of supervisory experience as clinician.
· Familiarity with a wide variety of effective clinical treatment options and able to develop, implement and monitor those options in practice.
· Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis, autism and other developmental disabilities.
· Knowledge and experience working with children with attachment disorder preferred.
· Significant hands-on experience managing human services. Demonstrated ability to reason, evaluate, develop and implement plans, policies and procedures, and resolve problems.
· Ability to maintain outside and inside contacts that require a high degree of diplomacy and the ability to deal with and influence persons in all types of positions.
