The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for the coordination and management of all client specific clinical program recommendations. This includes drug formulary, UM programs, benefit design strategies, and other drug therapy related products. This position will oversee required regulatory reporting for all plans and agencies. Responsible for pharmacy cost effectiveness. |
Duties: |
Oversee development and implementation of clinical programs including clinical consulting, clinical education programs, quality improvement involving drug therapy, disease and demand management programs and benefit design recommendations.
Coordinate formulary management services for assigned clients including P&T revision and development
Oversee maintenance and distribution of formulary publications and communications.
Develop, maintain, and update at least quarterly a clinical management plan for the client
Work in cooperation with the account management team to provide benefit design and clinical program consultation and recommendations to the client and groups.
Liaison manage and collaborate with PBM
Address questions or issues that arise as they relate to drug therapy or the clients formulary. |
Qualifications: |
R.Ph and minimum of 3 years of PBM and post degree clinical pharmacy experience.
PharmD
Current license in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy
One year of experience in PBM
Microsoft Office Experience
Strong managed care background |
