Clinical Documentation Mananger

The Clinical Documentation Specialist will assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining the documentation accuracy initiative at the hospital. This position facilitates and obtains appropriate and complete physician documentation within the medical record. Exhibits a thorough knowledge of clinical documentation requirements, DRG assignment, and clinical conditions and treatment needs of the adult population. Educates members of the patient care team regarding documentation guidelines, including attending physicians, allied health practitioners, nursing and case management.

Requirements: Certification RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or RN. At least 5 years of acute care hospital coding with a strong DRG background, or strong medical background with 3-5 years acute clinical experience. Excel and Word is required.
