Provides customers with clinical expertise, educational and systems development consulting, and product line utilization management and services, along with providing clinical sales-related support to the Sales Representatives and Region Manager. Provides specific product training for Sales Representatives both during the initial and ongoing training processes. Provides support for program implementations and utilization as requested.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides clinical and professional expertise to internal and external clients/customers.
Collaborates with sales force account team to determine potential sales opportunities, in individual hospitals and multi-hospital systems, as it relates to accessing consulting services and meeting customer needs.
Conducts customer needs analysis to assist in resolving customer issues.
Develops customer partnerships to control costs and maximize operational effectiveness through development and implementation of product utilization and educational programs.
Mentors new and existing Sales Representatives by providing orientation, education and training to hospital protocol, surgical procedures, and clinical products.
Determines learning needs and assesses a methodology for on-going assessment of professional growth and development.
Participates in the orientation of new clinical consultants.
Strong communication, writing, analytic and problem solving skills required. Effective interpersonal skills to work with all levels of customer/Baxter organization and ability to work well with team members. Knowledge of and experience in Educational Processes helpful. Knowledge of current health care trends is expected through self-directed attendance at professional meetings, seminars, and current reading of professional journals. Relevant clinical product knowledge experience preferred.
Candidate must have a Bachelors Degree (Medical or Nursing field preferred),or an associates degree plus 3-5 years experience in a Clinical/Technical Environment. Training experience preferred.
